Sedation Options
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is a great way to get sedated for your dental appointment. Typically you take a pill the night before, and a pill one hour prior to your dental appointment. Oral sedation will get you comfortable and relaxed.
IV Sedation
IV sedation allows Dr. Kim to administer sedation medication directly, so the medication works faster and more predictably. Dr. Kim closely monitors your vitals to ensure a safe sedation. Another benefit of IV sedation is that Dr. Kim can administer other medications such as antibiotics and corticosteroids so you heal more comfortably.
Your Nashville Dentist, Dr. Andrew Kim
Although Dr. Kim was born in Chicago, he has lived in the Nashville area for the majority of his life. He completed his science undergraduate studies at Belmont University in 2007 and completed his dental education in 2011 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
Dr. Kim has always enjoyed working with his hands and felt that dentistry was a good match for him. He has earned multiple doctorate-level degrees and taken thousands of hours in continuing education to provide better patient care. This education and training allow him to offer a wide range of services – from routine general dentistry to comprehensive orthodontics and implant dentistry. In addition, Dr. Kim stays up to date with technology, and our office utilizes LANAP laser gum therapy, 3D imaging, facial scanning, 3D printing, and digital prosthetic design and manufacturing so that our patients receive the highest quality. Over the past decade he has completed thousands of orthodontic cases and has placed and restored thousands of dental implants.
